Beliefs 16–18 address three separate areas of covenant life: marriage, baptism, and health. Believers of the Way United teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by YHWH at creation between one man and one woman. It is not merely a social arrangement, but a divine institution meant to reflect faithfulness, order, responsibility, and covenant commitment.
We also affirm baptism by immersion as the public response of a repentant believer — a declaration of death to the old life and resurrection to new life through Yeshua the Messiah. Alongside this, we teach that the body is the temple of the Spirit of YHWH and must be honored through wise stewardship. These beliefs are distinct, but each reminds us that faith must touch the visible areas of life: our relationships, our repentance, our bodies, and our daily walk before YHWH.
16. MARRIAGE
The belief that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by YHWH at creation — between one man and one woman — reflecting the relationship between YHWH and his covenant people. It is not a human invention or a social contract subject to redefinition, but a divine institution established in the Garden, honored throughout the Scriptures, and upheld by Yeshua the Messiah as the eternal standard for human partnership and family.

17. BAPTISM BY IMMERSION
The belief that baptism is not a sprinkling of infants or a merely symbolic religious ceremony, but a full immersion in water of a repentant, believing adult — a public declaration of death to the old life and resurrection to new life in covenant with YHWH through Yeshua the Messiah. It follows repentance, precedes the reception of the Spirit, and identifies the believer with the death and resurrection of Yeshua.

18. HEALTH MESSAGE
The belief that the body is the temple of the Spirit of YHWH and must be honored, nourished, and cared for as an act of worship and stewardship. YHWH’s health principles — found in the dietary laws, the Sabbath rest, temperance, and care for the whole person — are not outdated regulations but timeless wisdom for physical, mental, and spiritual flourishing. True health is holistic — body, mind, and spirit cared for in obedience to the Creator.
